During the Funk Roberts Fitness retreat there will be time to have fun, be active and try out new things that the Thai culture has to offer you.  Here are the other activities that we will be going during the retreat:

Tiger Fitness – Funk Roberts Retreat Workouts (included in Price)

During the week we will be doing our training sessions at Titan Fitness, which is down the road form the hotel.  Titan Fitness is one of the top training gyms in Phuket and offers us an outdoor fitness training, adventurous assault course and air-conditioning indoor gym and sprint track.  We have partnered with this amazing gym to give us the facilities we need to get into great shape

Guest Trainers (included)

At the Retreat we will bring in World Class Celebrity Fitness Trainers with a wealth of experience to put you through their style of workouts to change things up. This year we had Cori Lefkowitz from Redefining Strength take us through an amazing High Intensity workout. Check out this video

Pool Workouts (included)

One of the best ways to recover from hard training sessions is getting into the pool for some pool recovery workouts. The best thing is that you can still get metabolic using the pool. At the retreat we will go head over to the local pool for a workout session, which is easier on the joints while allowing us to actively recover the week of tough training. This year Coach Woody from Tiger Muay Thai who has trained UFC fighters, Muay Thai champions and thousands of fitness enthusiasts from around the world took us though his signature Pool training. Phi Phi Island Trip

On the Sunday of the Retreat we will have an optional trip to Phi Phi Island, which are some of the most beautiful islands in South East Asia.  The trip includes atrip to classic tropical beaches, stunning rock formation, snorkeling in the amazing vivid turquoise waters among colourful marine life and it will include a lunch on the beach and snacks on the boat.  Phi Phi is a group of six islands.  The 2 main islands are Phi Phi Don and Phi PhiLeh. The larger and inhabited Phi Phi Don attracts hundred of visitors that stay on its lovely shores.  The smaller, Phi Phi LEh has the incredible bays and beaches including the world- famous Maya Bay which was the set of movie The Beach with Leonardo Di Caprio) was filmed.

This is an extra cost so you don’t have to participate…but WHY WOULDN’T YOU?

Nutrition Seminar (included)

What you put in your body will be the deciding factor of your overall health, muscle growth, fat loss and performance.  “You can’t out train a bad diet!”

During the nutrition seminar Funk Roberts and Certified Sports Nutritionist will give you all the information and tools to ensure that you eating healthy and fueling your body for workouts and quick recovery during the retreat that you can take home with you and create an healthy eating lifestyle

Muay Thai Fights at Bangla Boxing Stadium (included)

No trip to Thailand is complete unless you watch LIVE muay thai which is the national sport of the country. On the first Friday of the week the group will take the trip to Bangla Boxing Stadium located on Bangla in Patong.

We will sit in stadium seats to watch top fights with either Thai vs Thai, Thai vs Foreigner or Foreigner vs Foreigner.

Thailand Traditional Festival (included)

One of the great things about the Retreat is that we experience Thai culture. One way we do this is by taking part in traditional festivals that they have during this time. Watch the short video about the Loi Krathong festival that we attended.

Big Buddha Hill Trip (included in Price)

During the first Saturday afternoon of the retreat we will be taking a trip to one of Phuket’s most important and revered landmarks on the island.  Big Buddha sits on top of the Nakkerd in Chalong.  There is a beautiful 360 degree views of the island, sweeping Phuket Town, Kata, Karon beach, Chalong Bay and more.

You can even get blessed from a monk.  We can even do some ATV off-roading in the jungle (for an extra charge)

This is going to be an incredible, breath taking experience.

Beach Day (included in Price)

On the first Friday of the retreat we will be heading to the beach for a morning workout, fun in the sun and lunch by the beach.  Adding the sand and sun makes these workouts intense workouts effective and challenging

NaiHarn is a quiet spot at the southern end of Phuket and is one of the islands most beautiful beaches.

Monkey Hill – Feeding The Wild Monkeys

On the final day of the retreat we will be heading out to feed the monkeys on “Monkey Hill”

In the monkey come alive in the afternoon and the hill provides and safe atmosphere to feed the monkey fruit and peanuts that you purchase from the local shops/restaurants.

This is going to be an amazing experience to be among friendly, wild animals

One on One Muay Thai Sessions At Chokchoi Muay Thai (included in price)

Two times during this retreat we will be training at Chokchai Muay Thai gym which is owned by the famous Chokchai (who actually fought Manny Pacquiao.

During these sessions you will learn real authentic traditional techniques and the secrets that Chokchai and his team have been practicing for over 40 years. You will get a private pad holding session where you will be instructed by a professional muay thai fighter and trainer.  The sessions are for all levels, whether you have never trained before or are a high level fighter.

Mobility and Flexibility Session (included in price)

One of the other session that we have at the retreat is a movement class that focuses on mobility, flexibility and movement flow. This year certified training Heather L put us through an amazing movement flow session

Chalong Night Market

On the first Saturday night of the trip we will be taking a trip to the Chalong Night Market. The famous shopping market consists of amazing foods (of all kinds), clothing, shoes, jewelry, electronics, sunglasses and amazing environment. This is where you will get great deals! Shop, Shop Until You Drop!

Yoga at Titan Fitness (optional)

A couple of times we will join the daily Yoga classes at Titan Fitness to help with flexibility, mobility and speed up recovery. Typically practiced in the mounting there is Ashtanga Yoga which practices on cleaning out the body, making space and generating energy for the day.
